Yoga for Beginners
10 week course The course will give you the opportunity to practice alignment in yoga postures, conscious breathing and relaxation. You will gain insight into the miraculous way in which your body maintains optimal homeostasis and rebuilds itself. You will also learn how yoga contributes to a greater feeling of aliveness in your body, and brings calmness, concentration and joy to the mind. November 15, 2011 Autumn
Retreat The autumn weekend retreat will be a time to celebrate the season with a loving attitude towards your body, recognizing that as long as you live on this planet, your body colours all your experiences. The body reflects as much on your mind and spirit as the other way round. The program will include juice fasting to give the body a physiological rest and at the same time to give it all the nutritional building blocks that it needs for daily renewal. There will be yoga practice, tai chi, meditation, pranayama and chanting. Sunday will end with an eating meditation that has a simple delicious meal as its focus. There will also be time to relax, to breathe the autumn air, or to have a Reiki or massage treatment. A detailed program will be posted later on. Arrive Friday, October 21, after 6 p.m. or Saturday, October 22, for 7 a.m. yoga. Depart Sunday, October 23, at 4 p.m. Cost: $250 (2 nights; 1 night only $200) Pay in advance to reserve your spot!
